Android Question Problem With Google Authentication - Play Store Certificates - Solved!!!

Hi All Me Again, thread season, jajaja,
I have an app in google play store from 5 years, with some updates, many by google api requirements, google authentication works fine since start, however after summiting last version API 35 with B4X, users who download app from store can't get authentication (it display google mail chooser) but returns "Error: com.google.android.gms.common.api.ApiException: 10" in the debugger. However if I Install using usb cable over My App Installed from Play Store I got this message

"The Application was installed with a different certificate, Do you want to uninstall existing application? Yes, No, Cancel,


I am confused, because apk summited to play store is same I am installing in device



So, It looks like a certificate issue,

This message means that the key used to sign the new APK is different than the key that signed the currently install APK.

Uninstalling the APK and installing the new one will solve it, assuming that you are now using the correct key.

Hi Erel, sorry I respond too late, I thought my original reply and explanation was send over here, however checking today I realized it was empty (never send).

I wrote a complete steps about what was wrong. But I am very interested to everyone can get help from this, so here the revised version,

Problem using Google Authentication for Apps in Play Store:

In adition to put my app SHA1 key in firesbase authentication, I also have to get the SHA1 key from google's play console

and put it in firebase authentication, after this I have to download the json file "google_services.json" , and put in directory app, compile and submit a new version.


Don't forget download json file for your app

After that everthing wend fine
