iOS Question publishing appstore provisioning and certs updating old app

Hi guys,
I finally finished the B4i app and wanna make it like a update of our app years old, all provisioning profiles and certificates with which was the old version published are expired.

How should I proceed, create new devel provision profile and new cert ? and use it ? will the update of the old one work ?

I am asking because on android without the previous certificate I would be done and couldnt update at all and have to make new app.

Yes. It is not like in Android. You can always create new certificate and provision profile.
