B4R Question rLedControl and ESP8266

I've made an oven timer-clock with Arduino and MAX7219 seven segment module, I need to add some extra features using ESP8266, the proplem is rLedControl is not compatible with ESP8266!
rLedControl gives full control of seven segments as needed. is there any equivalents for rLedControl to work with ESP8266? or workaround?
