Android Question Rotate screen

my application runs very well on mobile phones and tablets, all activities are portrait oriented, I'm trying to run this application on 'Nano Pi 2 Fire - Android board' this board is connected to Dell VGA monitor by HDMI to VGA converter.

the problem is, the board shrinks screen (please see attached image) and displays activities in the middle of screen, the mouse pointer can't move outside new display area, it should be rotated to fit screen size.
I don't know is there something to do with my code or is it related to Dell display settings or the board itself?

My guess is that it's most probably the board. As the board doesn't have an Android compatible rotation sensor it can only display the portrait orienation.
