iOS Question Ruggedized iPhone or iPad?

OK, after 4 days since posting, I shall prematurely assume that no commercial / industrial iOS equipped product exists out of a box...
Apples main product site also seems to suggest / confirms this.

I have already known this - but due diligence was required.
My client - and his employer is under an impression that iOS is the best path forward....
However (as I have always contended), a device that won't survive the extreme environment of your operational conditions will be OUT of SERVICE more often than supplying critical operational data.
Companies / manufacturers have recognized this and build products to perform in such extremes... but not consumer grade Apple....

Not sure if you need mounting solutions, but I have used RAM products in the past with iPads and Samsung tablets.

Edit -- iOS allows you to put your iPad in organizations, where your app is the only app they can access.
