Save Data temporarily without a DB

Can I save Data ... what is contained in 2 EditText so its not lost

I have 2 EditText with small amount of data ...... During testing I noticed when I changed to another App then back

The data that was typed was gone ...... Can I save that so this doesn't happen?

I need the data to stay while app is being used though it would be nice to save in case of a shut down .... but I don't think I need a DB as the data isn't something I will be archiving
