a system default app cannot be selected in an app. the device user must choose in the system setting dialog.

In the past the following declarations were required in order for your app to be considered a "messaging" app: https://www.b4x.com/android/forum/t...ut-notification-android-4-4.37171/post-227969

It is possible that more filters are required now. You will need to do some research.
