iOS Question Sending Notification When Application Is Dead In The Background

hi I can get a notification every 5 seconds without closing my Hello app completely in the background.

Even if my application is not running in the background on Android, I can get notifications.

There is a subject I do not understand. As a result of my research in the forum, I saw a post saying "No Code Can Be Executed If User Kills the Application Completely in the Background".

How do Whatsapp, Skype, Instagram applications send notifications even if they are not running in the background?

Is there an example that will notify me every 5 minutes even if the application is closed in the background? or how can I do that? Thanks.

Regular push notifications.

Either by scheduling many local notifications or with push notifications.
