Is it possible to protect a SQlite database with a password?

We dont need encryption so SQlCyper is much to heavy for only a password protection of a SQLite database.

We only want to block the option that they copy the database of the app we made and open it with another App or on a desktop.

You can encrypt your data first then save it into SQLite.

thanks

pitty that there is no other way to protect the SQLite database with a password then to use SQLCyper. to add a big lib for only a password protection is little to much.

I think, it could be possible to make this password protection for yourself: the first tip is, to use a name with another meaning, maybe pict1.jpg. Only your program knows, whats inside. But it could be, that some search routines want to catalog each picture?!

The second idea: protect the first block of the database with an logical Xor Bit system; only you know, how to reverse it. The problem could be, if something is crashing, the database stays unprotected...
