iOS Question Steps to renew the iOS Distribution Certificate ?

It's the first time I have to renew the iOS Distribution Certificate and I'm not sure which steps are required without breaking my existing app.

Before I do something completely wrong I try to ask here to get useful hints from experts:

1. Do I have to completely delete the keys folder before renewing and downloading certificates? Or certain files?

2. Do I have to create a new "certSigningRequest.csr" file? Or would this break my existing app?

3. After creating new certificates, can I simply keep the old certificates in my apple account, or must I somehow delete them?

The nice thing about iOS keys is that you cannot do something completely wrong. Unlike in Android where losing the key should be considered completely wrong.

1) No. Only the certificate and provision profile.
2) No.
3) Delete / revoke the invalid certificates. They are no longer useful anyway.
