Hi there!
I've made an App an now I would like to implement the Analytis function. So far it is working in a very basic sort of way.
My first question is how I can track events within services. My App checks a server once a day and I would like to track the success of this action.
Second question is how do I actually see any tracked data. I would like to know what button a user presses an I also would like to track a simple number. I some how missing the use of the google Analytics. It doesnt make any sense to my. The only thing I see is when the app is running.
Where can I see the tracked button presses of each user and how can I track a simple integer number?
Thanks a lot!
Regards!
Currently you can only use AnalyticsTracker from an Activity. One possible solution is to save the "events" to a file and then track them when there is a visible activity.
You can send events with TrackEvent. This should be visible in Google Analytics Events page.
Thanks for the reply. I have thought of simply creating a sub in the activity that starts the tracker, tracks an event and then stops it again. This sub could be called with callsub from the service. Can this be used or would it be not so good?
Is there no one here who has experience with Google Analytics? I am missing the point of what the whole thing is worth. I must be not understanding it right. I looked through a lot of videos and tutorials but they just seem to consist of countless pages of contentless text, without actually telling me how to use it or do specific things.
Please, can someone help me understand it?
Ok, thanks for the reply.
Just to specify my problem. It is not the B4A lib that I am having trouble with, the App side works fine. But the Management from google is confusing.
