Turning Screen On

Is there a way to turn the device screen on? Similar as an incoming phone call does?

My app is running a service that is communicatiing with a server. Phone WakeState is set to KeepAlive(False). So the screen is dimmed.

I would like to turn the screen bright if it is dimmed, or - even better - turn the screen on if a new message is coming from the server. Any chance to do this?

I was hoping there would be a way via reflection or so. After all an incoming phone call can do that.

Actually, you can do it, but it's kind of a workaround, something like this:

If Some_Event_Triggered Then
   
   Ph.ReleaseKeepAlive
   Ph.KeepAlive(True)

End If

And then reset it when you dismiss the notification.
