Odroid? What is it?

I found this page: http://www.hardkernel.com/main/main.php

"XUbuntu 13.10 or Android 4.x Operating System"

It seems to be a Linux computer, then you could use B4J.


(better to wait for the response of Erel, I often write nonsense )

if you install the andoid OS on it then B4A can produce apps for it, you still need a windows (virtual) machine to do this tho.

Hello Sorex,

I will develop on other PC, So can I run apk file on Odroid? What I wonder is Odroid have I/O port for controlling any MCU so how can I use this port by developing App on B4A?

Perhaps I have the wrong feeling that Android is more suitable for mobile (B4A in particular).
For this (perhaps wrong reason) I would use b4j

Yim,

there are IO libraries for B4A. Not sure if it will suit that toy but what you also could do is use a mobile phone and attach an IOIO board to it ($15 or so).

The IOIO is fully supported as a library exists for it already for a while.

Well, actually you have 2 options:

• Instal Android, and run APK compiled with B4A.
• Instal XUbuntu, and use B4J to run java apps.

But, the developing should be made on another pc with windows.

Hi..I'm not an expert. But I did some small application with B4A on odroid with the following setup
B4A app on Odroid U3 + OTG + arduino or PIC (using USBSerial)
