YES, but I seem to have seen a ribbon cable, so by connecting it to an E-Paper ESP8266, no need for any other communication system, right?
yes, I do believe so... I'm considering either buying a ribbon to dupont adaptor, or even designing my onw 3D printed clip to connect to the ribbon

But if the button batteries that I see powered this label, it is because it was part of a set of labels which had to be updated remotely and without hardware connection, probably from a central computer or a specialized remote control. If that's really the case, I don't think you'll be able to perform an "ARDUINO" action. Apparently it's a BLACK and White label.

I suppose at some stage I should try that b4j processing program I wrote (back in post #62) to see what the results look like.

Since the one in that post I have added code to output the data to .cpp & .h files.

I use this app with an Android tablet. I noticed that even after turning off the EPaper ESP8266 module, therefore after cutting the WIFI connection, the HTML program loaded on my tablet continues to work, only with regard to the dithering of an image chosen either in black and white , or in color.

The attached files were missing. This is fixed, if you download PriceTag.Zip, after extraction, you can logically download an image with any browser and carry out the dithering on your computer

Use the attached pictures, they are suitable for 2.66 inch electronic label. Check the box: 2.66b to obtain suitable dithering

It is even possible to perform a simulation for a 5.65 inch 7-color electronic label before you have even purchased this product, using the attached 600 x 448 pixel image.
It is thus possible to see the graphic possibilities of E-Paper screens before owning these devices
