Virtual Device is working fine, but not on the cellphone

My time (countdown) is working fine in the Virtual Device(AVD Manager).
It´s not stop when the AVD is blocked, but on my cellphone (SIII or Samsung Ace) the timer is stoped when it is blocked. Why?
