Android Question What does the term "Wrapper" actually refer to ?

I understand that in some cases a Wrapper must be created to have an external 3rd party jar file used in a B4A project.

When referring to that as a "Wrapper", is it in fact the XML file that defines the methods in that jar file ?

In other words, what goes into the Library folder is the 3rd party jar file, plus an XML file that would have been coded up to marry with the methods in the jar file....

OR, it is much more that that.

A wrapper means a small Java library that calls the 3rd party jar. The wrapper is built in some way that it can be used from B4A.

A possible alternative is to call the sdk directly with JavaObject.
