Android Question What is the new way to backup and Restore an app?

I have some old backups of an apk which I reinstall on my device. But the apps upon opening will immediately prompt me to install from Playstore.
I tried Cx File Explorer, Apk backup, filemanager++, and other apk extractors.

Even when I disable Play store protect, the installed backup still prompts me to download from playstore.

Any suggestion on best app to backup and restore in 2025?

I think most phone manufacturers come with a suite app to backup the entire phone state for recovery.
eg. HonorSuite for my Honor phone.
