Samsung may one-up Apple with 11.6-inch tablet sporting 2560×1600 resolution, coming February

Rumor has it that Samsung has plans for a 11.6-inch tablet, which may sport an incredibly dense, Retina display-shaming resolution. The new tablet will also have Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), and will be most likely to debut at this year’s Mobile World Congress this February.

Though the tablet will have a larger display than Samsung’s current Galaxy Tab 10.1, the tablet will be “barely larger”, since the panel will have a thinner bezel with a stunnning 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution, 11.6-inch screen, and a 16:10 aspect ratio.

Do note the Kindle Fire, does not have a microphone, camera,
and has only 512mb instead of the standard 1gig ram, and
also only 6gig user storage, no cable to sync to pc, no access
to android market, only amazon app store. No MicroSD card slot.

I am pretty sure this is a closed android unit, not allowing
installs of .apk's too

I picked up a Kindle Fire for Christmas and am using B4A on it, and all seems to be working fine. I had to set up the Google USB driver to talk to it from my dev machine, but I am able to install and debug right on the device. I can also side-load other apps too.

My big issue is that I can't seem to read/write from the internal storage card, though. Not sure if there are any other Kindle Fire users to help debug/test this...are there??

I use a very low-end WonderMedia (sold as CrystalView) 7" model I got for $88 (US). I intentionally bought one that I knew was not very powerful. I am in the market for a good one also, for development and everyday use.
