I'm a devops engineer at a software developer. I setup Azure based virtual machines, configure tools like TeamCity and Octopus deploy, and setup user accounts on our client cloud Windows Remote desktop environment.
It's okay, but I'd much rather be working on android games using B4A full time.

Long time ago...in a galaxy far, far away I was a full time developer, my last job as a programmer was for an ISP (then I "retired" from development), after that I changed to Support, currently I'm a Lab Support Engineer (fancy title for IT Guy) I work for a pharmaceutical company (I've been doing it for years) the kind of support I provide is for BioSciences-pharma Labs.

I've done the "Android thing" full time for a bit, but, went back to Lab IT, I still write code but as a hobby/side job and I'm a BIG fan of B4A.

I am an apprentice IT specialist for system integration, second year apprenticeship. I am the girl for everything. We do everything, network planning, server maintenance, database programming, laying cables, deploying PCs, programming interfaces. I also program a lot together with my instructor, have already learned a lot from him, although application software. And most of the time I'm alone in the company.

That's why I spend so much time on apps and learning to become a B4X guru

Full time developer of Accounting, Inventory etc. and also customized applications in Xbase++, Harbour (HMG) etc.
Small useful tools development in AutoHotkey, AutoIt etc.

Many apps developed in B4A in my mind, none on computer due to work pressure from above.

Roam about in this Forum to keep my senses intact

Regards,

Anand

I'm a business operations manager for a major outsourcing company - but I started out as a programmer and have spent most of my life "improving" business processes through excel macros, access databases, scripting and similar.

I now see that as training for the serious work of developing in B4X

HR/Payroll. Trying to automate various items in the company, with the first item being time reporting. Issues faced with this endeavor are remote locations that have no cell service (and satellite is off the table). Next mileage reporting, tool tracking and maybe maintenance requests. All must be able to handle times of non-connectivity. Yes I'm in a first world county, but that still does not guarantee cell service everywhere.

also customized applications in Xbase++, Harbour (HMG) etc.
If I think back, I may have been the most productive in the days of Clipper Summer '87. I like the new toys though...
