I use parallels for B4A right now, but maybe you can port the IDE etc easier that way?

In fact you can already make the IDE working on Linux or Mac : https://www.b4x.com/android/forum/threads/b4x-on-linux.72507/ (with a little tweaking). On Linux, B4A and B4J already run smoothly (only B4A and especially the emulated Android SDK for Windows are not working). On a Mac, B4A, B4i and B4J run.

Maybe B4a and B4i Mac Version IDE in 2017 because there is a new Version of Microsoft Visual Studio For MAC.
