Wish: Content Provider Library

A content provider library would make life easier for a lot of people (including me). I would be willing to put a couple of days worth of work in to help produce this. but I don't really know where to start, so will need a mentor.

Is there a specific content provider which you are trying to access?

The difficult part with content providers is to understand the specific issues of each content provider. The general mechanism is quite simple.

Im specifically interested in android.provider.MediaStore.Audio, but I think that MediaStore, and Settings have been what people have been interested in so far.
I tried to read the database the long way (SQL library) but ran into permission issues.

Settings can already be accessed using the Phone library. I will add music to the list...
