Wish 100%x and 100%y

I'd like to see a mechanism like the current 100%x & 100%y that would apply to a views parent instead of the screen size. So I could do a 35%xp to get a % based on the parent for example. maybe taking the parent from the view on the left side of the statement.

label.left = 35%xp

would take the parent dimensions of the label.

Just an idea.

Note that %x / %y in the designer script are relative to the main parent (activity or panel that loads the layout).

This didn't work for me on 3.20 in the designer. I just tried it and it made the button larger than its parent panel. Is there a trick to making it take the parent dimensions?

In the designer you can use the new anchor feature to anchor a child view to the parents dimensions.

%x / %y in the designer script are relative to the main parent. If you are calling Activity.LoadLayout then Activity is the main parent.

Panel1.LoadLayout => Panel1 is the main parent.
