Android Question Add symbols to a bitmap and save it

Hi,

I need to put numbers (or any other graphics) on a bitmap and save it with the symbols / numbers. Can this be done?

Do you need to store them together or just view them as a single unit? A text file with two or more bitmaps could be used to store them together and then you just need to process it... but that might not be ideal.

Yes !
Define a bitmap object.
Load the original bitmap onto this bitmap.
Draw whatever you want with a Canvas onto the bitmap.
Save the bitmap.

I tried, but in vain.

I can see the text on the photo, but when I save it and later view it, the text is gone.

How did you read the image back ?
Do you have a small project showing the problem ?
It's difficult to answer with just a small code snippet. !

The project is bigger, but all the code is in the activity "Paint", which is called at start of the program.

In your code you had the image on the Activity background and you drew onto a Panel which are two different Bitmaps.
