Hello,

Newbie here... (7 days and counting - loving B4a )

I am trying to achieve the following: (something simple to start with)

- MyApp has a simple UI : EditText, Label and Button (send)
- This App is installed on two different android mobiles - M1 and M2
- App running on both mobiles
- Want to send the test in "EditText" when i hit the the button SEnd on M1... Label on M2 should show this Text
- Can reverse communication happen from M2 to M1 too ?

Possible? What is the most effective way to do this? Network Sockets and Asyncstreams?

Has anyone got some sample code? Sorry for all the newbie qns

Read both the Network Sockets tutorial and AsyncStreams tutorial but am finding it hard to put all this together easily ...

Cheers

Same thing

I was just about to post a very similar or same question. I am using smsintercept in a service it is working ok but takes a while and of course charges may apply. What are the other options to communicate between two devices. Especially interested in knowing which methods available need wifi on etc. I would assume pipes requires wifi and known tcp-ip address. Is sms the best way to do this?
