The year is reaching its end which means a lot of minigame compos will reach their deadline aswell.

What about a minigame compo for B4A with a Christmas based theme for the game(s)?

A month left to create a minigame which should be enough.

Rules could be...

- Christmas/Winter themed
- Made in B4A (source need to be provided as proof)
- Made by yourself (not taking a flappy bird or match3 game example from this forum and just replace some gfx)
- Game may not be released before by you on Google Play (as in no quick game recycling by using new gfx to fit the theme)
- Filesize limit not set yet (5Mb?)
- Deadline reached, the poll is online.
- Voting from Dec 28 - Jan 1st via forum poll?
- Attenders/Winners might know the result on Jan 1 2015

Erel knowing, he might throw in some B4i+B4A,B4i license(s) or something for the winner or top3.

Erel is so kind to donate 3 B4i + hosted Mac builder licenses for the top 3.

So it's always worth attending for that, the fun , the challenge or to explore the other side of app building (games).

See it as promoting your skills and the possibilities of B4A.

@ilan12041981 - Santa Chaos

Another original game idea. Scales well on both devices. Plays in fixed landscape so doesn't need to handle screen rotations. Nice graphics and I like the help page which provides all the information needed in one concise screen. Unfortunately I've experienced a couple of quirks only on my Galaxy S3 which I'm not able to reliably recreate. The first is that it sometimes reverts back to the menu screen (I'm definitely not hitting the back button). The other fault I've experienced is that the Santa freezes, he might move left on the first tap but the refuses to move left or right on subsequent taps. Unfortunately I'm not able to recreate this, its very intermittent. I have in fact got my best score playing on the S3, I reckon it was up in the 60's but I got that carried away that I tapped on the game-over sign before checking my actual score . It would be nice to have a high score table but I also realise how much extra work that involves. A nice game and enjoyable to play.

Hope you've all had a good Christmas and all the best for the New Year!

Kind Regards,
RandomCoder

thanx for your review random coder...

i have fixed some bugs and also put an highscore value on the gameover panel incl. a button to restart the game again...

have a nice day...

(new version v1.03 should be soon online)

thanks for testing, ilan.

just played through the game again and didn't see that happen, I even kept an eye on the level in the screenshot.
will give it some more plays.

did the crash happen when the time ran out?

ok, that got solved now. (will update the apk later)

I wrote my own tween class for this and the erase of objects caused an error when a tween was still running when the time ran out.

Hi RandomCoder,
thank you for your nice comment about 15Tiles micro-game.

Keep challenging your son and don't forget to publish your best score since I plan a reward for the best 2014 player!

what about adding a fixed set for this so that the play is the same for everyone?

if you're lucky to have a bad shuffle you could do it in a dozen moves :)

yep,

my original idea was to prepare a Pro version where 2 contenders were presented the same scheme (Ruzzle-like), but indeed a more general "scheme of the day" where everyone is challenged on the same basis is even better.
I doubt I can ready it before 31.12 night (I just moved to a new home..) but I'm sure @LucaMs (current 2014 leader) won't mind too much if we stretch that "2014" to early 2015.. :)

Well, time to open next moving box :(

Who knows if I would have won:

I wanted to make an app of this kind: a nice Christmas video (see the picture), a panel overlaid to intercept the taps and "consequences" on the movie (audio and/or canvas texts or jump to frames). Taps on tits, of course :p

Too late.

Hi ilan,

it's my understanding that users should be not only welcomed to vote but they should be the voting process protagonists!
IMHO, it would be a poor thing if only the game developers would vote..

So, make the voice spread; invite anybody to try those apps and vote (yes, a "vote for my app" indication is fair, I believe.. eh eh).

i agree with you, i have not do anything until now, i mean tell anyone to try and vote for me...
so if this is allowed i will do it...

may i also offer to share the source code if i will reach the first place??

no rules for the voting exept that they should pick 3 so that votes get spread a bit.

I could only set a maximum of 3 but not a minimum of 3.

sure, as long as it isn't a "you can get the source if you vote for me" bribe ;)

ok cool so i state here that i will share the source code if Santa Chaos will be in the first place..

Good luck to everyone..
