Basic4android UI Cloud is a new service that will help you with testing your layouts on multiple devices.

Using the UI Cloud is very simple. From the designer you choose Tools - Send To UI Cloud (or press F6). The layout will be sent to a set of devices hosted by Anywhere Software. Once the process is complete, the browser will open with two screenshots taken from each device.

Pressing on any thumbnail image will show the full image.

The set of devices currently includes:
- Galaxy S4
- Samsung Galaxy I9000
- Nexus 7
- Nexus 5
- Samsung Galaxy Tab 2
- Kindle Fire
- HTC One S
- Samsung Galaxy Note
- Samsung Pocket

The variant used for each device (and orientation) is the same as the variant that will be chosen at runtime.

Strange results

This is not emulation. These are real devices. You can see their parameters by clicking on the image.

Hi Erel and hi all the friends of the forum.
It is the first time that i program an application for Android and thanks to B4A i completed quickly my program and i am working now to have it usable with multiple devices.
For this pourpose UI Cloud is an excellent instrument but i have a question.
I clicked on images to see the relative parameters of the devices but i got for the Kindle Fire the following result:
Portrait : 600 x 899
and at the same time and test
Landscape: 1024 x 475
Am i that missed something or this is quite impossible ?
If i was unable to find a possible previous reply i beg you pardon. :sign0013:
Thanks regards Franco efsoft

kindle resolution

The resolution reported doesn't include the title bar and system bar. So the values are correct.

Thanks for your kind and quick reply. As values are correct i have to adjust the graphic of my App to get a valid result. Regards

Hi Erel, for the first time I tried the cloud, I've noticed that images are all made with a black title bar zone on top, either if "Show Title" parameter is false in designer and in the module parameters.

What I'm missing?

This is a very neat idea Erel.

Would it be at all possible to widen the range of devices, specifically to have one phone and one tablet per style? Ex, a Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 for stock phone/tablet, Galaxy SIII and Galaxy Tab for Touchwiz, One X for Sense, etc. Specifically, we're missing the Stock and Touchwiz phones.

I'm sure you could set up an emulator for the first one.

Note that these are real devices, not emulators.

The current set of devices covers pretty good the screen sizes / resolutions available. For different styles there are: kindle fire, Nook, Nexus 7, HTC One and Galaxy Tab 2.

More devices will be added in the future.

I'm just looking for a recent Touchwiz phone, like a GSIII or something.
