just read about your plans of releasing B4i and i'm quite excited about it! will keep a watch on it, have a question though...will B4i have the B4Bridge so that we can test our iphone apps over wifi on our iphones?

I just read about this. Well done Erel. I guess I had better get the B4a Object Browser up to speed so I know it's compatible.

Note that you can start without a Mac if you like (with the remote Mac service).

The Mac should be able to run Xcode 6 (OSX 10.9.3+) and the iPad should run iOS 7+.

So if I have Snow Leopard on my Mac, I have to upgrade to Mavericks?

B4i is a Windows program.

yes i know but still you will need a mac that is connected with the pc that is running B4I and the compile (what i have understood) will be on the mac and the question was if the Bridge App that is running on the mac will work on OSX10.10??

Basically, if you have a powerful enough Mac, you can run Windows in a Virtual Machine.


As the bridge app downloads executable code, It won't be available on the iOS App Store. For Xcode 6, you'll need either Mavericks or Yosemite. (The Application Loader is bundled with Xcode and is required to submit apps to the App Store)

From the App Store Review Guidelines: "Apps that install or launch other executable code will be rejected"

i think you didnot understood my question, i will ask it again.
if i will upgrade to Yosemite will i be able to make apps via B4i and publish them to the appstore? (i know b4i runs on PC but again the mac is needed to compile and publish to appstore) and i dont know what app does this action, if its an app that erel created then this is the reason why i am asking because i see some apps dont run on Yosemite...

To answer that question, the latest Mavericks release or Yosemite will be able to publish apps to the store. Basically, any version that Xcode 6 and 6.1 can run on. (As the Application Loader, the tool used to submit apps, is bundled with Xcode).





However, the bride app won't be available on the store due it's nature. You'll need to build the bridge app yourself.

How does your B4A/B4J/B4I working space look like?

Currently running:
- Eclipse * 2
- Visual Studio * 3
- B4A
- B4i

- B4J - Running B4i build server (connected to the Mac with B4J-Bridge).
- MacClient / MacServer - Small tool also written with B4J that helps with updating and downloading the libraries from the Mac computer.
- Xcode
- AppCode


so you are saying no problem with upgrading right? ok the i go for it, thanx

I have been running Yosemite on a 2011 iMac with my regular development tools since June with the developer preview, and for a couple days with the final version, and no incompatibility seems to have arisen with XCode 6 and App Uploader.

Any Mac running Yosemite can run Windows XP-7-8.1 with an emulator such as VirtualBox or VMWare Fusion. Have not tried yet with Windows 10.

Hackintosh and Mac OSX under virtual machines on Intel PC so far do not seem able to run Mavericks, so no XCode 6. Besides, it breaks Apple EULA, which is frownable upon...
