iOS Question B4I - Local mac builder

Good morning,

My profile and certificate for B4I on Apple had expired.
The admin gave me a temporary id to recreate the certificate using "Hosted Builder". So I could create both certificate and profile with this temporary ID.

Now, When I go back to local mac builder, launch "java -jar B4iBuildServer.jar" on the mac, I got the IP adress of the server and 2 ports.
When I tried to launch the bridge build on my VM windows, with my own id and local builder, I've got error message :

    CompileAssetCatalogVariant thinned ***B4iBuildServer_Mac/UploadedProjects/<user id>/Payload/B4i-Bridge.app ***/Config/B4iBuildServer_Mac/UploadedProjects/<user id>/Images.xcassets (in target 'B4iProject' from project 'B4iProject')

The build of the bridge is working whith the temporary id and "Hosted Builder" but not the release. There is no error message but the application is not installed.

Could you please help ?

Always search for "error:"

error: iOS 26.0 Platform Not Installed.

You need to run Xcode once and let it install whatever it likes.

I don't understand. Xcode is open and don't ask for anything.
I"ve got the 26.0.1 version.

Look under Preferences - Platforms. Install iOS 26 simulator.

Thank you, it wasn't installed anymore. I progress but still don't succeed to build the bridge :'(

Were you able to install the iOS 26 simulator? Do you get the same error?

Hi Erel,
I installed the IOS 26 simulator.
I had a password required so I put 111111 and always authorize the connexion.
I was able to build the bridge but nothing append when I try to release the application.
I've got no error message, everything seems to be ok but the application still not want to be release Should I open a new ticket ?
I've commanded an plug to connect the iphone directly to the computer. Usually, we didn't have too. The IP seems good, I don't know what is wrong.

Are you using B4i v10? The issue with the password was fixed.

Well, I've got 8.51 :/
I don't know how to upgrade the application.

Just make sure you have a valid license and install the latest version. (I like to install each version in a new directory, but it's not required.)

v8.5 will probably won't work with Xcode 26 and it also not fully compatible with iOS 18+.

Do I have to buy a new licence to have access to B4I 10 ? I can't find the installation app except the one I had initially copy on my local machine ?

Yes, likely you will have to do that. Search for the sender support@basic4ppc.com in your email application, if your license still is valid, you should have received a link in there. If not, just do a regular purchase. (Don't forget to check your spam folder if you can't find it.)

I got the mail with the link 2025-11-18 at 09:50 (UTC) and the subject was "B4i v10.0 is available for download".

Thank you for your answers. I didn't found any invitation to reinstall the application.
We bought a 2 years licences for free upgrade in 2024, may 24th. So I'm wondering why we do have to buy a new licence.
We did so to unlock the situation.
