Android Question B4XPages problem

I am rewriting my old Android app using B4XPages, which worked quite well for me in iOS.

I am just getting started and have only created a few pages - the pages I have created all load with no problem but when I change the phone orientation, it always takes me back to the first page rather that just changing the orientation of the page I am viewing. What have I not done correctly? Thanks.

As you can see in the B4XPages post, this is a "limitation" of B4XPages:

1. You are not forced to use B4XPages. All the current features behave exactly as before.
2. It does have some limitations. One notable limitation is that in B4A, the activity that holds all the pages should be locked to a single orientation.
3. It is supported by the latest versions of B4J, B4i and B4A.

Yes, B4XPage have only one "problem" (and dozens of advantages): it only supports one orientation (either landscape or portrait).

Well, that's a bummer - I just finished migrating my old Android app to B4i and used B4XPages for all of that - just assumed it would work as well for B4A. Never ass-u-me.

Get the good part, maybe you couldn't migrate your Android app to B4i so easily without B4XPages... And you can use another activity in portrait mode in B4A, mixing it with B4XPages

Make sure to use B4XPages template. Create a new project to see it. The orientation must be locked.

As written above, you can use a second activity which is not orientation locked. It will make things more complicated but it is possible.
