Android Question Blank space above activity title

Hello!

This is my first post so excuse any formatting errors.

I am designing a new application but there seems to be a large space between the activity's title and the activation point of the swipe-down action panel.

I am attaching some screenshots to show what is happening. I have tried disabling the title on the activity region but nothing I do gets rid of that big gap.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

It looks like an emulator issue. This is how it looks here on a real device:

Tip: don't use activities. Switch to B4XPages. Everything will be 10 times simpler.

I was wondering if that is the problem. I don't own an android device so thanks so much for testing.

Here working correctly even on emulator.
Anyway remember that emulator can't be compared to real devices.
But they are a good help for OS versions that we don't own.
