Bug? Bluetooth Discover fail if targetSDKversion is set to 29 (Android 10)

Hi,

I'm using the updated example from here: https://www.b4x.com/android/forum/threads/android-bluetooth-bluetoothadmin-tutorial.14768/
Discovery works with targetsdkversion="28" (Android9), but fail with targetsdkversion="29" (Android10).

As I want to use in my app the latest features from Android 10, there is any way to make Bluetooth discovery works with targetsdkversion="29" ?

I'm answering to my own question.

According to this page:

Android 10 and up require ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCES_COARSE_LOCATION is no more enough for Bluetooth discovery.


Hope this will help others with the same issue.

It is a mistake to set targetSdkVersion to 29. Use 28 for now.

Hi Erel. What's the reason not to use 29, If I want to be prepared for Android 10 and use some of the new features (especially security ones) only available in this version?

This is not the correct place for this discussion, however there is no strong relation between targetSdkVersion and Android 10 features.
