My app will use TTS, will this be able to be sent via bluetooth to a bluetooth car stereo ?
I am unsure of whether I need to use the bluetooth library to enable this or is it standard android behaviour.

I just paired my N7 to my car radio bluetooth. No issue with pairing.
However in-coming messages (GCM) that sound out with TTS do not play over the sound system (automatically) as I was hoping.

Thanks

Thanks Erel,

I don't know if my car stereo with BT is considered a headset (newer type - got it from one of our 2013 wrecked trucks), or my N7 is such (have not tried the same test with my Blue Parrot XT 250 head set).

The BT technology is constantly evolving (like the rest) so we shall see how it plays out perhaps simplified in the future. Not important currently, just hoping it was so without many workarounds.

Having an in-coming GCM message play over the vehicle speakers would be a big plus - since most device speakers are barely (not) audible over the road noise of a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV).

As Android evolves, these are the issues that we face as mission critical solution providers - we are "almost" there. No slant, just reality that I accept and thank everyone out there in providing (near) solutions.
