Android Question Display a word formatted doc on a layout

Hi y'all,

I need to display a EULA (End User License Agreement) that is formatted as a word doc or PDF that has bold headings, etc, on a layout.

The doc file would be sent with the app in the Files (DirAssets).

Is this possible without separately opening the doc file with the Intent from the mobile app and not having to use CSBuilder and any other library that requires formatting of the already formatted doc text, line by line?

Do I assume that the word doc can be displayed in a WebView view?
I haven't used that view before, so an example would be appreciated.

Would a PDF work in this situation?

Thanx,
Mark Stuart

Hey b4x-de,

I read on the forum an old post that it didn't work for the person.
I try to stay away from non-B4X libraries, except if they're more recent and or published by Erel.
Meanwhile, I'm taking the approach of manually converting the Word Doc to a HTML file and then injecting it into a eula_template.html file that renders the formatted content into a WebView. Just got it displaying. And now for the details to be added.
