I found your question because i was searching for a solution to my problem... same as yours
Sadly the question was not yet answered.
Anybody has an idea on what is going wrong, or is the DLyoutube library outdated ?

@Bucky108..... Google is continually updating YouTube to defeat the downloading of video content. The freeware/commercial downloader that I use gets upgraded on an almost weekly basis. It would be a brave man that releases a B4X library to perform the same task, you would be spending all your time keeping it functional.

Remember also that Google controls both Android and YouTube. They will bar anything from the Play Store that downloads YT content, and may even have placed code in Android libraries that frustrates attempts by developers to do the same thing privately.
