Finally, my first Android App is ready enough for a first release!
Soon to be released on BlackBerry also.
Written in B4A of course.

But the integer is just a counter, the actual version number, the text part can be decimal.. I usually just go to 3 places for DB updates..

Version string vs. version code

i.e. 0.9.8 but integer version is 15

DB update

0.9.8.1 integer version 16

DB update

0.9.8.2 integer version 17

Major revision

0.9.9 integer version 18

DB update

0.9.9.1 integer version 19

etc...

Excellent! That stands to reason! I did a major overhaul on my bitmaps as I had 27. It finally lagged when I added masking to clean up some of my leftover pixels and square auras. I just have a couple cartoon strips. Now I have 70 levels and my next revision will feature more performance tweaking and more levels.

Update: Added a menu for sound and exit. 82 levels.

Fun game! Reminds me of a tank game I use to play in school.
Had a bit of truble to control the tank with the buttons. An analog control would be preferred, so you can keep the thumb pressed and control the tank.

One other thing that would make this game even better would be support for Bluetooth/Wifi multiplayer so i can play against my college and beat his ass!

Thank you, sir! I don't intend to change the interface for this one, but if it becomes popular enough to warrant it, I will add a head-to-head mode.

I have not worked on it very much lately as I have been focused on learning Blender(lost in bliss of this) with a touch of openGL. Responsiveness would be greatly improved if I change the drawing functions out for openGL on this game.

BUMP and update. FlaTank is now published on the Android Market, SlideMe, and BlackBerry APP World and has 105 levels! Hurray for me!

Looks like your game is bug free and ready for prime time.
Send some emails to blog writers and news sites. Also post on other forums like xda, anddev etc.

A few months ago, I added multifire to the free version of the game and the response has been good. I also made a commercial for it on youtube with Blender, Vegas, and FL studio.
