host mode for Ft232T

I've been trying to use the ftdi FT311D but I have encountered too much problems with it so instead of the Ft311D chip I'm going to try the Ft232T.
I have an OTG cable but I don't know how to set my android device to host mode(because my device that uses Ft2323 is a slave) . Do I need specific drivers from ftdi too ?
I have tried the usbserial demo on it but it doesn't recognize the device...
