iOS Question iOS Distribution Certificate Expiration

Hi all,
just received an email stating that in 30 days my customer's certificate will expire.
Once renewed, should I upload a newer "fake" version of the existing app? With fake I mean identical to ecisting but the Version Code.
Or the new certificate will come into play when and if a new "real" version of the app would be released?

TIA

So, I renew the certificates today and store them for an eventual future use. Thanks a lot.

Sorry to re-open the thread.
Recently @Erel announced B4i version 8.80 which makes use of JDK 19 (noe "aligned" to B4A).
Since I need to renew my customer's certificates, ain't it wiser to install B4i 8.80 and generate new keys from it based on JDK19 so to have certificates based on it?
Wiser or needed..

TIA

Well, it could have been read as "since I have to renew certificates, it's better to have 8.80 installed with jdk 19"?
Anyway, I agree that an explicit thread would be easier to search for in the future (altough it will be of lesser use when our beloved tools will be all based on jdk19).
Thanks Alexander
