Whats cool about it is that they used two separate PCB's stacked on top of each other, and then it seems they used cutouts in either the middle ground copper layer or the silkscreen of the upper PCB to create transparent sections within that top board. Then they placed RGB leds on the lower PCB underneath each of those transparent sections of the top PCB so they could light up the IC's from underneath them and even create illuminated buttons with custom designs for the button!
