you can pay dynamsoft 1200USD/year for the license, or you can let them decode the barcode in a webview for you. hmmm.

If you have a very well defined QR Code then the below project by @Erel will scan up to Version 40 QR Codes. I have tried it with the QR code in the below image (Version 40 L) that contains the following info:

Have managed to scan it as what it is displayed in this post.

With ZXing I have tested up to Version 35.
