Start a tablet without the green key ?

Hi, I have Yarvik TAB 450, when it's powered up, it displays a green lock which you slide upwards to start the device. I think this is totally useless and want to disable it so the tablet starts without having to do this. Nothing in the user manual about it. Does anyone know if it's possible to get rid of it.
Thanks

Is there no way of disabling this green lock so the tablet starts.
I think it's useless and silly. I have already pressed a button to start the tablet. Why should I need to do anything else. Any ideas ?

As you could assume, phones started out as the primary device with Android on it, not tablets. With that being the case, the unlock swipe was to prevent you from hitting the power button on your phone while in your pocket and pocket-dialing or causing other unknown damage :p Then tablets started peeking in the picture so I'm assuming the Android folks didn't see it necessary to differentiate the unlock feature between phones and tablets.

There is a specific flag documented on Android Developers here.

I haven't tried it but you should be able to use the same reflection code as in this post using the different Constant.

I have an android 4.04 media player and it starts when powered up without having to do anything, which is great for what I am trying to do.
