Timers Running at all time?

I am uncertain how this timer behaves when Activity is Finish. I Dim timer in the Sub Global and enabled it in Resume. When the Activity is paused, I believe the timer is still running and will be reused with additional timer when you run the app again. I hope you understand what I am trying to say. My timer shows a character on a label at an interval and does not behave correctly when Activity (App) is reopened. Unless i disable timer at Activity Pause, it is operating normal. Is this normal with timers? I have to disable Timers on every Activity Pause that have them?

Timers should be declared as process globals. Otherwise new timers will be created when the activity is recreated.
It is recommended to pause the timers and resume then in Activity_Pause and Activity_Resume.

Timer control problem

Hi Erel,

I am using B4a timer control to save a location details of android smart phone on local Sqlite database but I am facing a problem of timer freezing or reset to 0 (re initializing again) when the mobile auto rotation mode is on and with every movement of cell phone from vertical to horizontal etc. as well as when user shift to another apps or game that timer also the timer in back ground apps is stuck up or hanging when user switch to timer apps then the timer resumes from beginning.

I want to run the timer in my apps all the time even though the user shift/switch to next apps/games or screen timeout happened or phone movement done from vertical to horizontal.

How can i achieve this ? is there any sample apps available for same.
