Other VS Code extension Open source permission?

I built a vs code extension to support B4X development in vs code for my own uses. I know the B4X IDE is very good already, but sometimes I just feel like I would like to do B4X development on the go on my iPad. That is why I started the project. I am thinking to open source it under MIT license to allow our B4X community to use it. I saw the B4X project was under Apache License. Just wondering if I need to grant permission to publish my project in MIT license?

There is no relation between B4X source code license and the extension license. You are free to set whichever license you choose.

Thanks Erel. Haha, guys, don't get your hopes up. It is only the very simple extension, which allows you to do basic stuff of b4x in vs code. I believe someone may find it useful. I will be tidy it up after work today, and public my repo.
