Some of these Android's are getting big.
Would be nice to actually write and compile the code on the device.
So when I go away I can just bring my device and leave the PC at home

Sorry to burst your bubble, but it's not going to happen any time soon. It is physically impossible to run B4A on a tablet even if it was converted to Java. Tablets just don't have enough CPU power or memory to make it practical. Are you really going to be satisfied debugging an app on an 8" or 10" screen? (I'm not willing to give up my large dual monitors or my large keyboard) Besides there are enough differences between tablets and OS versions to make the development tool highly unstable (it will crash a lot). If it ever did run on Android, it would be very easy to pirate the software and B4X would be out of business within a year. So be careful for what you ask for.
Depending on whether you've been naughty or nice, you'd be better off asking Santa for a good laptop this Christmas.
You might also want to post a new thread on the B4A General Questions forum to ask B4A users what type of laptop would be good for developing B4A apps.
Anyway, that's my opinion.
