iOS Question Apple Configurator cannot be deselected under B4i 8.90

Hello, in version 8.90, you can no longer deselect "Use Apple Configurator to install."

This means that we always have to connect an iPhone to the Mac to create a release app.

If no device is connected, B4I displays the error message "Error: cfgutil: error: no devices found."

No error is displayed in the local Mac Builder. The generated build is also on the Mac. "Download latest build" cannot be selected in B4i.

How can I create a release app without Apple Configurator, similar to B4i 8.80?

Over the air installation doesn't work with local Macs for sometime now, that is unless you are using an old version of iOS.
It is related to a restriction that was added on OTA installations with self signed certificate.

This is the reason for this option to be disabled. It only works with the hosted builder.

I don't want to install the app, but rather build a release app on the local Mac and then download it via B4i.

It should work even if there is no connected device. You will get an error in the installation step, but the IPA will be built.

Exactly, but unfortunately the ipa cannot be downloaded via b4i

2. Tools - Build Server - Download Last Build

What happens when you follow these two steps?

Download Last Build is grayed out and cannot be clicked.

I'm able to compile and then download the IPA without a connected device. Try to build a "simulator release app" and then switch back to a device by entering an arbitrary ip address.
