Android Question Does the android.jar version matter?

My app targets api 11 or higher. However some of my libraries were complied with android.jar for platform 8. The android.jar in my B4a library folder is also from platform 8.

Do I need to save a platform 11 version of android.jar for my B4A builds?

Everything works fine on my 3 devices, but I am wondering if something may fail on another device.

The android.jar version is not important. The only exception is if your code calls an API that is not available in an older version of Android then you will get an error during compilation. If compilation was successful then android.jar doesn't matter at all. The device library is used at runtime.

No. It doesn't have any effect on runtime performance.
