Android Question Open external files with your app

Hi all, exist intent (or similar ) that open external files with you app ?
Look this thread by Erel for B4i ( https://www.b4x.com/android/forum/threads/open-external-files-with-your-app.50525/#content )

Example if i have a file with "vbm" extension (so unknown) but still a text file, can i Tap on it ( vbm file ) to open my app ?

It may be that the anomaly is my working devices and not yours that do not work

Mediacom G540 (Android 4.2)

As soon as I have time I will try on my Samsung tablets, but they have Android 4.2
