iOS Question Problem using a FQDN as Server IP

Hi Erel,

I have correctly installed the builder on my Mac (at home). Since my provider provides a dynamic IP (changes within minutes!) the only way I had (and still use) to access my home network is to use a Fully Qualified Domain Name based on a dynamic DNS.

It seems that B4I, however, accepts only IP addresses and is unable to resolve a domain name to IP to access it.

Could it be possible to add this feature?

Your local builder ,development pc and iOS device should be in same intranet, and have static ip, the ports(51042/51041) should be available. You need a wifi router.

non on an intranet... that's why I need to use the access the computer using the public IP... which it works. The issue is that if I use a domain name, instead, B4I does not perform the conversion to the underlying IP address to access it

1. On the Mac delete the key folder and manually set the name as explained in the multiple IPs section: http://www.b4x.com/android/forum/threads/local-mac-builder-installation.46402/

2. Close the IDE, go to C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Anywhere Software\B4i
Edit the ini file and set ServerIp to the host name.
